In between,a type-written letter: 'Thank
you for your letter of 1st July to Sir Robert Fellowes about your reference work on the Korean War entitled "Marks of Courage".The Queen would be delighted to accept this volume to go with your earlier work which you so kindly presented to her.The inscription looks entirely appropiate.It was most kind of you to have written.' The author has also hand-written an ink note to top,right-hand corner of notepaper 'not to be published or copied.Ashley.' Also included,again laid in loose,publisher's type-written business paper slip,also noting an Amendment to be made to ppxiii etc.,and to note Publisher change of address,for future reference.Bright,crisp,clean,glossy laminated, plain yellow background dw/dj,with brown lettering to front+rear panels and to spine/ backstrip; with negligible shelf-wear and creasing to edges and corners - no nicks or tears present.Top edge imperceptibly and minimally aged/toned,fore-edges considerably brighter; contents bright,tight and near pristine - no dog-ear reading creases to any pages' corners,some pages to both front+rear - top edges unopened and some opened subsequently, probably by owner?
